- This photo was taken during a UBCIC research gathering trip investigating the potential socio-economic and environmental impacts of a proposed looping project by Westcoast Transmission. Looping refers to the doubling a pipeline by laying another pipeline by laying another pipeline beside it. After consultation with local Bands, UBCIC intervened at the National Energy Board public hearing into Westcoast Transmission's application, presenting evidence of the harmful impacts.
