- Item is a photograph of Hell's Gate, British Columbia. The photo is a snapshot of the Fraser River, the river canyon and the railroads running along the sides of it. One of the railways is the Canadian Pacific Railway, which was completed in 1884 and the other is the Canadian National Railroad, originally called the Canadian Northern Railway, which was competed in 1914.
