The Union of BC Indian Chiefs has distributed a variety of regularly published newsletters and bulletins from soon after its inception in 1969 onwards. A number of different newsletters were produced in a variety of formats and under different names. The publications addressed a wide range of issues of significance to Indigenous community members. Many of the publications are far reaching in their scope, while others were published to address a particular issue of concern. The purpose of the UBCIC newsletters was not only to provide information but also to provide support and encourage members in their work.
