How to Use

Browsing

Within any collection site, users can search, filter, bookmark, tag, and view the available items.

When viewing an item, it may have both an area to view or the read file as well as metadata. Metadata will describe basic facts about the item, such as the date, contributors, and type of item. For some metadata, a user can click on the property and view other items that have that same property. Items can also be inside of one or more item sets.

Our digital collections platform is built on the Omeka S software, see their full user guide for information about the software.

Contributing

We encourge individuals to contribute to the collection, or provide any additional information they may have to existing items. If you have any further questions about contributing, you may contact the site administrator at [email protected].

Anything that a patron chooses to provide to the sites is licensed, by default under CC BY-SA, and can be revoked in the future. Any tags, contributions, transcriptions or comments should be in the spirit of UBCIC's mandate and the Library and Archives ethical research policy.
